#13 of 480
The book measures 11" x 8 1/2" and has 68 pages. The body of the text is Old Style Antiqua and 480 copies were printed on Whatman paper. The book was typically bound in paper over boards with a cloth spine but we know that at least one; as seen above, was bound in full Levant with elaborately tooled doublures. W. W. Denslow's orb and seahorse design was used in the colophon and the colored capitals / initials in the chapters were also Denslow designed. The book was completed May 13th, 1898.
This book is listed in the 1899 catalog and sold for $5.00. In the 1902 catalog a full Levant Sonnets of the Portuguese was being offered for sale at $75.00
