Ali Baba of East Aurora
by Fra Elbertus (Elbert Hubbard), 1899
The book is 7 5/8" x 5 1/2" and has 150 pages. The body of the text is in Caslon Old Style and 650 copies were printed in three colors on Roycroft handmade paper. Additionally twenty six copies were printed on Imperial Japan Vellum. Some copies of the regular and the limited edition were hand illuminated, as shown above, and signed by the illuminator. It is believed that some copies were produced in 3/4 and full Levant. The most common editions are suede, paper over boards with a suede spine and 1/2 Morocco.
